While Santa and his elves are busy at the North Pole, the Kansas City CVA is putting the finishing ribbons and tinsel on its holiday marketing campaign, “Season of Magic.” The promotion will reach millions of potential holiday visitors throughout our five-state region.
Our holiday promotion will cap off a successful year of seasonal promotions – Chill Out in KC, Sunsational KC and Fall for KC. Traffic to VisitKC.com is up 42 percent for the year.
The “Season of Magic” campaign will feature Special Offers through:
- 12-Page Direct Mail to 75,000 targeted travelers
- Highly-targeted, rich-media online banner campaign (5-state region)
- E-mail marketing to 200,000 qualified regional travelers
- Google Pay-Per-Click campaign (5-state region)
- Targeted publicity with regional and national media outlets
- Exposure to 200,000 visitors per month via VisitKC.com
- Holiday-themed interactive iBrochure
- Social media: KC has 27,000+ fans on Facebook and 2,700+ followers on Twitter
- Partner marketing: Ticketmaster, Madden Media

2009 Summer Campaign Overview
The Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association has officially launched its new Sunsational KC 2009 summer marketing campaign.
The $1.3 million leisure advertising campaign is one of the largest media buys in the CVA's history. The ads will target the top drive markets for Kansas City travelers: Des Moines, Lincoln, Manhattan/Topeka, Omaha, Tulsa, St. Louis, Wichita and Springfield, Mo. The campaign will run through mid August.
